This is not Jane Yap Atelier's Me. Saya. 我 on Level 5, which still runs through 18 October. Different floor, different brief. The Ways We Human is a collective installation of lived-experience work, mostly A6, made during a 2026 Neurodiversity Acceptance Month challenge that Gembur Education and partners ran in April and May. Selected pieces now sit in the room clipped to strings, stood in acrylic stands, taped to cubes stacked like play blocks.
On a mid-October afternoon the floor was in use. Six people sat around a low bamboo table on puzzle mats, under green cloth draped from the beams. A grey tent is pitched in the corner, the kind you take camping, with more cards hanging off the flysheet. FMT Lifestyle's 2 April 2026 interview with Gembur co-founder Natrah Aziz already described a nesting space in their GMBB unit, a calm sensory-friendly setup. The Level 3 hang borrows that language in three dimensions. If fluorescent mall lighting usually drives you out, this floor is dimmer, slower, and closer to the ground.
Gembur is a social enterprise in the same building. Natrah told FMT the Malay word gembur means ploughing soil so things can grow, not fixing people. Their shop is unit GM-2-20 on the second floor, 11:00 to 20:00, closed Mondays, phone 013-436 6811. The work on the stands is handwritten and drawn, not a catalogue print. One card in the centre cluster reads Different Not Less. Another, Pockets of Belonging. Windows, a comic-book figure, a girl under a rainbow. Instagram's auto-alt called these images of text because the art has writing on it. That writing is the work, not a title overlay stuck on the photograph.
The same 11 October carousel shows a visitor in a cap standing under the cloth, cards pegged to hanging vines, tent behind her. The post tags gmbb.kl, thinkingonbox, and gembur.ed. Thinking On Box is a GMBB studio that also runs its own ticketed craft workshops this month. The Rakyat Post listed those separately on 9 October, zines and nasi lemak magnets and a glow session. That timetable is not this hang. If you want a TWWHuman bengkel, the organiser Linktree is the form, not a roundup of a neighbouring tenant.
GMBB sits off Jalan Pudu, not on the Pavilion strip. Walk about ten minutes from Bukit Bintang MRT (Kajang Line) or Hang Tuah (LRT Ampang / Sri Petaling and the monorail). The April-May challenge asked for A6 responses to weekly prompts. You did not need to be trained. An ebook of compiled work was promised alongside the physical show.
