Dai Cha Dim at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur occupies Lot 6.01.03 on Level 6 and is a Hong Kong-style cha chaan teng restaurant serving a mix of Cantonese dim sum, barbecue meats, and local Malaysian Chinese dishes. The restaurant is non-halal, incorporating pork in several dishes, and caters to families and casual diners seeking a fuss-free Chinese meal in the Bukit Bintang shopping district.
The menu spans dim sum items, barbecue meat noodles, plated rice dishes, double-boiled soups, desserts, and bottled milk tea. Standout dishes include the beef brisket noodle soup with well-seasoned broth and tender brisket, the fried Hokkien mee noted for its wok hei and crispy pork lard, and the roast duck. Char siew and siew yok rice plates are popular lunch options, alongside steamed minced meat with salted fish rice. The dim sum selection covers standard Cantonese items. Reviewers find the pricing reasonable for a restaurant in an upscale mall, with mains averaging RM 16 to RM 24, though the 10 per cent service charge and 6 per cent government tax add to the final bill. The dining area is spacious with plenty of seating, and service is generally prompt.
Opening hours are 10 am to 10 pm daily. Contact number is 03-2148 8108.

HK STYLE BEVERAGE

Disappointed with the food but staff were friendly and service efficient. The congee is good but not great, hokkien mee was a fail, kind of bland and no pork lard taste. Dim sum items we ordered were chicken feet and steam spareribs. Spareribs was tough and chewy and chicken feet did not taste fresh. I was actually contemplating between 2.5 to 3 stars.

I had a delightful dining experience overall. The Cantonese fried kuey teow stood out for me, thanks to its rich and thick egg-infused broth. The dish would be superb if they used super fresh seafood. The service was just okay, with dishes arriving promptly.

One of the best meals I have had in Kuala Lumpur this trip with my friend KC. Everything was delicious, my favorite was the sizzling claypot aubergine. Yummy …

Every time we came to Pavilion, we have to dine here for the usual HK style foods. My favourite is the Steamed rice with Char siu, egg and pork lard. The fried rice tasted so good and also the combo roasted pork rice set.
