Free-entry anime, comics, and gaming convention taking over Sungei Wang Plaza & JUMPA. Cosplay, artist alley, gaming zones, anisong performances. 10am–10pm daily. One of the biggest free ACG events in Malaysia, expect massive crowds.
Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week (3–9 Aug)
Malaysia's premier fashion week returns to Bukit Bintang and Pavilion KL. Public runway shows featuring 55+ local and international designers. Modest fashion, traditional-contemporary fusion, designer pop-ups. Trade exhibitions are free; runway shows from RM150.
Malaysia Mega Sale (Until 31 Jul)
Nationwide shopping festival in full swing. Pavilion KL, Lot 10, Sungei Wang, Fahrenheit 88, and Berjaya Times Square are all participating. Expect heavy discounts across fashion, electronics, beauty, and dining. Part of Visit Malaysia 2026.
Sunny Side Up Market: Merdeka Edition (31 Jul – 2 Aug)
Curated weekend market at GMBB, Bukit Bintang with 40+ Malaysian brands, food, fashion, homeware, body care, accessories. 11am–8pm. Perfect for Merdeka gift shopping.
Unity Merdeka Festival (17–20 Jul)
Massive free community festival at Dataran Merdeka (minutes from Bukit Bintang). 1M+ visitors expected. Activities include exhibitions by PDRM, ATM, and Fire Department, e-sports, pickleball, Muay Thai, 5km Fun Run, and a live 2026 FIFA World Cup final screening on giant screens.
Citrawarna 2026 (24–26 Jul)
Malaysia's iconic cultural celebration at Dataran Merdeka. Colours of Parade (25 Jul highlight), Colours of Flavour, Colours of Culture, Colours of Art. Free entry. Part of Visit Malaysia 2026.

4th edition at Four Seasons Hotel KL, Jalan Ampang. Under Royal Patronage. 20+ international designers from USA, Russia, Netherlands, UAE, Philippines, Indonesia, India, Japan. Red carpet, gala dinner, awards. RM500/ticket. 5pm onwards.
Pavilion KL: Merdeka Campaign (Aug–Sep)
Patriotic installations, cultural performances, and local brand showcases at KL's premier shopping destination. Combined with Pavilion Loves Sustainability eco-campaign (Jul–Aug) featuring Malaysia's first shopping centre EcoHub.
