Jane Yap Atelier's 23rd OUR WORLD show, titled Me. Saya. 我, is on Level 5 of GMBB at 2 Jalan Robertson through 18 October 2026. China Press and Ticket2U both print the same window: daily 11:00 to 20:00. The opening on Saturday 10 October at 14:00 has already run. The hang is still up for a week.
295 people aged 4 to 83 sent in more than 380 works. Painting, mixed media, sculpture, animation, weaving, furniture, and ten A0 collabs sit in one floor of a building that is usually workshops and a picture-book museum, not a Pavilion atrium. Walk-in hours match GMBB's own 11:00 to 20:00. Neither China Press nor the Ticket2U listing prints a ticket price, so treat it as a show you walk into during those hours unless the organiser starts selling a timed session.
The brief from curator Jane Yap (叶健一) is a question, not a house style. China Press quoted her studio line: art class here is less "how you are supposed to paint" and more what you see, what you feel, and how you want that on a surface. That is why a five-year-old's drawing hangs in the same room as work from people in their eighties. Ticket2U copies the same headcount and the same Level 5 address. Sin Chew Daily Metro ran the same dates on 25 September.
The part that is not a student salon is the ten large collabs. Painters Yap Fong Yee (叶逢仪), Kuek Yee Moi (郭一梅), Loh Mok Lai (罗木来), Gan Si Hai (颜思海), and YooYee worked with Jane Yap Atelier students, alongside Kin Lek, architect Winston See, designer Boone Lee, and Huang Hui Lin (黄鏸霖). China Press's 30 September follow-up is the roster. Those A0 pieces go to auction. Proceeds go to Kasih Hospice Foundation. The opening auction was 10 October. If a work is still on the wall this week, ask at the desk before you assume it is for sale on the floor.
Yap Fong Yee told China Press she wanted the children's marks in the picture, not a polished adult finish. Gan Si Hai had nearly twenty kids each draw themselves and their houses, then stitched the sheets into one field. Kuek Yee Moi left a canvas unfinished on purpose so a child could take the next passage. Loh Mok Lai did the reverse: the child started, he answered. Those are process notes from the paper, not wall labels you will necessarily find in English on Level 5.
GMBB sits off Jalan Pudu at 2 Jalan Robertson, 50150 Kuala Lumpur. It is the creative block on the Pudu side of Bukit Bintang, about a ten-minute walk from Bukit Bintang MRT (Kajang Line) or Hang Tuah (LRT Ampang / Sri Petaling and monorail). If you are already in the Golden Triangle for Jalan Alor at dusk, this is an afternoon stop. Last entry still has to respect 20:00 close. The picture-book museum and tenant workshops on other floors keep the same building hours. Saturday Storytelling on 10 October was a one-day GMBB listing and is over. The lantern workshop at Bojen Sam Art on 10 and 11 October is also done. Me. Saya. 我 is the leftover that still has dates.
Guests of honour on the Jane Yap Atelier poster were YB Wong Kah Woh, Deputy Minister of Education, and Dato' Lim Seng Kok, GMBB director. That was the opening, not a daily programme.
